Absn program that take act test

Accelerated BSN – Open to students who have a bachelor’s degree or students in their senior year of college (with at least 90 credit hours earned) who will graduate before the start of the ABSN program (January 6, 2025, or May 12, 2025). This program has two start terms each year – Spring (early January) & Summer (mid-May) and takes three semesters (one year) to complete – spring, summer, fall (January start date) and summer, fall, and spring (May start).

Traditional BSN – We invite students in high school and college to consider this program. You can start nursing courses in the fall term only. If you are completing your first degree, you should be prepared to take additional courses to meet university graduation requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Accelerated or Traditional BSN admission, incoming students must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

1. The TEAS Exam is required at Queens.
   1. Accelerated BSN applicants must submit the TEAS exam.
   2. Earn a minimum score of 65 (or higher) on the TEAS Exam taken within the last 2 years.
      • The exam must be completed by the application deadline for which you are applying.
        See the ATI TEAS site for information on testing locations and options. We accept both the in-person proctored and online proctored exams.
   3. Traditional BSN Applicants may submit either an ACT or SAT score report, taken within the last five years, or the TEAS exam.
      • Minimum ACT score of 22 or SAT score of 1100
      • Earn a minimum score of 65 (or higher) on the TEAS exam taken within the last two years.
   • Both courses cannot be a science lab course (i.e. Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology I with lab, or Human Anatomy & Physiology II with lab).
   • You must submit a copy of your course schedule as proof of prerequisite course(s) in progress by the application deadline.
   1. To receive credit from AP exams, a student must receive a score of 4 or 5 on the exam and submit official scores from College Board to receive credit.
   2. Traditional BSN students must have 45 hours completed towards their degree (transfer hours into Queens) – Note: additional courses may be required at Queens to meet graduation requirements.
   3. A bachelor’s degree must be conferred by the start of the Accelerated BSN program (January 6, 2025, or May 12, 2025), and an official transcript received with your degree conferral date listed.

   Application Dates

   Admission into the BSN is competitive. When the application window is open, you can submit a combined university and nursing application. All application materials must be received by the application deadline, including transcripts from all schools attended. We suggest that you submit your application and all required material well before the deadline to make sure your application packet is complete. Only completed applications will be reviewed. Decisions are released within six weeks following the deadline.
